Incredible scenery, a challenging route and second-to-none support, it’s no surprise we have been voted the UK’s Best Endurance Event for the past two years.
Lined with Bronze Age hill forts, Neolithic burial chambers and Roman river crossings, you will step in the same footsteps as travellers who lived over 5,000 years ago.
You will get the full Threshold experience, including fully-stocked pitstops laden with food and drinks, an overnight Basecamp and tireless support from our crew and medics who will help you every step of the way.
Celebrated as Britain’s oldest path, your 100km route follows the historic trail past Wayland’s Smithy, Uffington White Horse and Barbury Castle before reaching the iconic ancient Stone Circle at Avebury. Follow in the footsteps of the Romans and write your name into the history books!
Taking on an ultra marathon can be a daunting challenge, so we always strive to provide the highest level of support, from pit stops bursting with snacks, drinks and sports nutrition, to medics, massage, hot food and even bag transport, leaving you to focus on the challenge ahead.
Whether you are entering solo or with friends, the trails are a social place! Join our supportive Facebook community and find training partners or get some top tips from our trail alumni. The camaraderie you will experience on the Ridgeway is unrivalled, and will leave you wanting to sign up again!
Enjoy an ice-cold beer, relax by the fire pit and watch the sunset as you prepare for the next morning. Whether you want to take on the 100km in one go or make the most of the basecamp experience and rest overnight, we have you covered.
“This is a hugely challenging distance and an awesome race. The organisation and support are brilliant and you will never regret doing it. All the hard work and training are worth it. It will change your perception of who you are and what you can achieve. There really is more in you”
- Catherine Price
"This was my first ultra. At one point very close to the end I didn't think I was going to finish but my friend who I did this with and lots of other competitors around me (plus a phone call from my running coach) got me to the end.
The organisation of this race is brilliant, cannot fault it and the marshals and medics were absolutely fantastic."
- Tamsin Coughtrey-Smith
“This was truly one of the best events I have taken part in. The atmosphere was incredible. The crew at pitstops were always game for a laugh and really helped keep you in good spirits.”
- Kirsten Allcoat
